Sneak Peak

Sneak Peak
I'm really anxious to share the wedding pictures, but am still going through them all. I thought I should share just one to hold you over until I am able to finish them.

I was so happy when Becky, the bride, suggested this shot. I had really wanted to get one like this. It is sort of the new, fun wedding shot. I hope all of my wedding parties will be as agreeable!

Elle

We're back from our long weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The trip home went super fast, which we are very thankful for. The whole travel part went really well, but I'm looking forward to no more travel for quite awhile.

We left very early Friday morning for a wedding, but not just any wedding. It was my first wedding photography gig and it was for my very good friend's sister, which made it even better. I'm getting the photos off my camera right now, and I can't wait to share a few with you. I'm sure the bride and groom would love to see some before they head off on their honeymoon, but you will all have to wait a bit. We had a great time all around especially since we got to spend quite a bit of time with our friends.

To hold you over until the wedding pictures are finished, I have pictures from a couple weekends ago of Elle and her mom, but mainly of Elle. She really, really wanted to wear her ballerina outfit - that's what I love about lifestyle photography! She also just wanted to play and talk with me. She really was not interested in my camera. Mom left us alone for a bit and I was able to get a few posed shots.
See the rest of her pictures here.

Matt & Jennifer

Saturday I took pictures of a couple who's wedding I'm photographing in June. We met in Winona, MN at a pretty park with a gazebo and a fountain. Later we went to a look-out spot for a few quick shots and then back to their house for more photos and to chat about the big day. I actually like the pictures I took at their house best. I love front porch shots.

We did a lot of posing in lots of different positions for this session. Matt and Jennifer were very nice to humor me so much. See the rest of my favorites in their Flickr set.

Trevor, Collin, & Gertie

Saturday evening I took pictures of a co-worker's boys and their new puppy, Gertie. I couldn't get over how tiny she is. I don't know if you can even tell how tiny she is in in these pictures. Gertie was the second small dog that we hung out with this weekend. The other one was actually even smaller than her; almost the size of a guinea pig! I can't image having such a little pup running around our house. I think I would step on her. :)

In contrast, I can't get over how big these boys have gotten. I remember visiting my co-worker's house when the youngest was around 3. He was so articulate then, and is still quite the conversationalist today. However, the boys are also at an age where they like to give cheesy smiles over a real smile. I think I was able to catch a few real ones though! Check out their set on Flickr.
